https://rsepress.org/index.php/jtse/article/view/53

The main aim of this work is to create a novel intelligent power management system that can identify synchronization failures of any external supply source to the power grid by sensing frequency and voltage irregularities. Furthermore, in a three-phase system, an automated phase changeover of the load from the missing phase to the next available phase is included to provide continuous AC mains supply. In addition, a solar module with suitable storage capacity is attached to the proposed system to reduce grid energy use and play main energy sources to maximize green energy usage. The electrical loads can be protected by automatically shutting down the system utilizing microcontroller programming. The LCD shows the current supply voltage as well as the overall system's operating frequency. The complete unit will be shut down by the intended controlling unit if any of these parameters increases or lowers over the limit of every separate incoming source, and the system will automatically reconnect following stabilization.
Md Emran HossainSaurav Biswas

https://rsepress.org/index.php/jtse/article/view/54

Biomedical Engineering is a huge field taking the professions of doctors, engineers, nurses, administrative staff, physicists, chemists, biologists, etc. on the same platform. In this huge area, a biomedical engineer needs to work with so many people having different mentalities. As a biomedical engineer, one has to follow the ethics of engineering; not administrative or doctors but these two ethics can be added according to his duties and responsibilities. In the workplace, one may face that his coworker is skipping his duties, puts his computer on even at the time of leaving, fraud ling money, disclosing confidential information, using the company’s property for his personal need, or any other unethical activities. In that case, what should a biomedical engineer do? Should he report to the manager or should he restrain himself from involving in another person’s matter? In this study, the authors have tried to provide an ethical solution to the unethical behaviors of coworkers.
Shabbir ChowdhuryRino Ferdian SurakusumahUmar Alqasemi

https://rsepress.org/index.php/jtse/article/view/70

Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) experiments on mild steel (MS) have been conducted by using two NICHIA SK-260-M E6013 electrodes (diameters: 3.2 mm and 2.6 mm). The present research is unique since it not only shows the effects of welding process parameters on the heat input and weld quality, but also determines the optimum current, voltage, and welding speed for a specified diameter of the electrode to obtain a satisfactory weld quality. The authors have shown the results of using different current values and welding speeds and their effects on the heat input and weld quality with the aid of photographs and graphical plots. Surprising results (contrary to literature) have been obtained; which have been scientifically explained and justified. The research findings would enable welding engineers to use correct amperage, voltage, and the welding speed when using SK-260-M E6013 electrodes in SMAW of mild steel.
Zainul HudaMohammad M.
